Mod Name / Version - Quick Reply: User Defined TextAreas v0.1

Description - The following will allow QuickReply to use user settings for post fields. If they do not
have these custom set, the default forum settings will be used. You must have Quick Reply
mod installed. This was suggested on my forums, because some prefer using Quick Reply to write long stuff sometimes, and they just dislike scrolling

Working Under - UBB.Threads 6.2

Pre-requisites - Quick Reply

Author - Rob Porter (Dalar)

Credits - JoshPet, Allen Ayres, and Gardener for Quick Reply!

Files Altered - showflat.php, showthreaded.php, showflat.tmpl, showthreaded.tmpl

Installed at: Legends of Tacendia forums

Enjoy!

Excellent. Should be "standard" part of quick reply.

If it's ok with you, I'll include this (with kudos to you) into the next quick reply release.

I don't understand this mod. It made my quick reply box super small, how do you adjust it?

I haven't tried it, but the code looks like it makes the quick reply box the size as defined in your "My Home" display preferences..... the same size as your new post and new reply text boxes.

So it uses the user's preferences... instead of a preset size.

To make the box bigger (and the box in your new post and new reply screens) edit the size settings in My Home.

I'll try this soon and see how it works.

Did you make the changes to showflat.php and showthreaded.php? They load the values from your display prefs, and if there are no values, they load the default forum settings.
